Instructions for Authors
The Nexus Scientific Journal exclusively accepts manuscripts submitted through its online editorial platform. Authors must first register as users in the system in order to submit their manuscripts and track the editorial status of their articles.
To submit a manuscript, it is necessary to log in to an existing account or create a new user account within the journal’s platform.
The journal does not accept submissions by email or in printed format.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors must verify that their manuscript complies with the following requirements. Submissions that do not meet these guidelines will be returned to the authors for correction before the editorial process begins.
Before submitting, authors must confirm that:
- The author information form has been properly completed and signed by the corresponding author and is attached together with the cover letter and the manuscript.
- The corresponding author has correctly entered the metadata for each author in the editorial platform, including full name, email address, institutional affiliation, and ORCID code.
- The manuscript has not been previously published and is not currently under review by another journal. Otherwise, this situation must be explained in the comments to the editor.
- The file containing the article text has been prepared in Microsoft Word format using the journal’s official template.
- The tables are editable and the figures are provided in high-quality image format.
General Publication Guidelines for Authors
- Originality
Authors must guarantee that submitted manuscripts are original works. The journal pays special attention to plagiarism and self-plagiarism. Articles with a similarity index equal to or greater than 30% will be rejected. During the editorial process, specialized software will be used to detect textual similarity.
If plagiarism is detected, authors may be temporarily suspended from submitting new manuscripts to the Nexus Scientific Journal.
When artificial intelligence tools are used, authors must specify the tools used and the sections of the manuscript in which they were applied.
- Confirmation of prior publication
Authors must certify that the manuscript has not been previously published and is not being simultaneously considered by another scientific journal.
- Peer review process
Authors must actively participate in the peer review process by responding promptly to the observations and suggestions made by reviewers. They must also make the corrections requested by the editorial committee and issue retractions if necessary.
- Author contributions
All authors listed in the article must have made a significant contribution to the development of the research. Authors must declare that the data presented in the article are real, verifiable, and authentic.
- Conflicts of interest
Authors must inform the editorial committee of any potential conflict of interest, whether financial, professional, or personal.
- Sources consulted
All sources used in the preparation of the manuscript must be properly identified through the corresponding citations and bibliographic references.
- Post-publication errors
If any relevant error is detected after publication, authors must immediately inform the editorial committee of the Nexus Scientific Journal so that the corresponding correction can be made.
Manuscript Submission
- Submission platform
The Nexus Scientific Journal only accepts manuscripts submitted through its online editorial platform. Authors must register in the system to submit their manuscripts and to track their status throughout the editorial process.
Submissions by email or printed format are not accepted.
- Author information form
Together with the manuscript, an author information form signed by the principal author must be submitted. It must include:
- Confirmation that all authors have read and approved the content of the manuscript.
- Full author information, including name, institution, email address, and contact details.
- Confirmation that the principal author will be responsible for communication with the journal throughout the editorial process.
- A statement regarding the use of artificial intelligence tools, if applicable.
Specific Publication Guidelines
- Scope of publication
The Nexus Scientific Journal publishes rigorous scientific works that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in various fields, including:
- Sciences related to social interaction, such as social and legal sciences, communication sciences, and networks
- Academic disciplines that study essential aspects of human existence, such as arts and humanities
- Applied sciences, including health sciences and therapeutic and rehabilitative physical activity
- Proportion of articles
The journal seeks to maintain a balance between theoretical and empirical articles, prioritizing the publication of original research articles with scientific results.
- Authors’ responsibility
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information presented, the correctness of citations, and the proper use of consulted sources. A certification signed by the principal author confirming the originality of the work and compliance with the editorial guidelines will be required.
- Manuscript format
Manuscripts must be submitted in:
- DIN-A4 format
- Double-column layout
- Times New Roman font, size 12
- Single spacing
- 2 cm margins
- Page numbering centered at the bottom of the page
The recommended length of the manuscript is approximately 7,500 words, although this may vary depending on the type of article.
- Manuscript content
The manuscript must include the following sections:
- Title (in the original language and in English)
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- Keywords (5–8 words)
- Introduction
- Methodology
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusions
- Acknowledgments (optional)
- References
- Tables and figures
Tables and figures must:
- Be inserted in the appropriate place within the text
- Be numbered consecutively
- Include titles and captions according to APA style (7th edition)
Images must be submitted in high-resolution JPG or PNG format.
- Citation guidelines
All manuscripts must comply with the citation and reference guidelines of APA style (7th edition).
